Beautiful place to see a wide view of the Pacific Ocean. Reserved parking signs were up. I'm not sure for what reason, but we just parked and watched the sunset for about 20 minutes. Definitely recommend checking this view out if you are in the area. I didn't see any kids' areas or playgrounds or restrooms.
If you are looking for a challenging hike (without getting too crazy), this is your spot. Parking gets competitive so either use the ParkMobile app or come right before the park opens.
There are enough trails to easily create a 10-mile hike especially if you hike the Filiorum and Three-Sisters trails. I hike 7 miles with an elevation gain of 1,400 feet and never hiked the same trail twice. The wildlife changes depending on the season. I went in the late summer so I saw coyotes, snakes (poisonous and non-poisonous), rabbits, and tons of birds.
Good hiking trails overlooking the Pacific ocean. Great view of Catalina lsland especially on a clear day. A lot of people walk their dogs, which is allowed as are bikes. Wildlife consists of ground squirrels, rabbits, plenty of tiny lizards & birds. I've had seen an occasional snake over the past couple years, 1 rattlesnake, 1 harmless garter snake. There are two porta potty's less than a half mile from the entrance . You will need a permit to park anywhere close to the trails. You can get a permit through the ParkMobile App, if not you'll have to park further down Crenshaw. Recently the city has closed off some trails due to land movement out of precaution, who knows for how long.
A wonderful place to see the fantastic panoramic ocean view more than anywhere else. Parking must be reserved inside the park, but free parking is available at st John Fisher Church within a 5-minute walk
Wonderful view. I needed a short walk and a breath of fresh air. This was just the ticket.
Must visit place, lovely view , sunset point!
Beautiful place to trek. But if you're not in a mood to walk, just take a stroll in the park and you have a beautiful ocean view. I went down the rattle snake trail and continued on to Ishibashi trail back up to the top. It took around an hour. It is lush and green after the rains and looks so awesome.
The atmosphere is amazing great for a date and watching the sun set
